Q: Why does the league play small sided games?
A: There are several reason why US Youth Soccer recommends small-sided games with modified rules for younger ages.

Q: Will there be a tournament?
A: Yes! There will be a season ending tournament based on a random draw on the final day. Each team will be playing 2-3 games in the Jamboree/ Tournament to end the season.
Q: Who will be coaching my child?
A: All players in the league will be coached by volunteer coaches who will be given guidance and support from the Director of Player Development, Craig Mallace along with Club Coaches. The coaches for the league will be given resources to make the recreation experience a memorable one for all players.

Q: How can I get involved in this league as a parent or community member?
A: There are several roles needing to be filled by parents and community members. If you would like to find out more ways you can contribute please email our rec director at recsoccer@cottagegrovesoccer.org . Also, you can register online to be a volunteer when you sign your child up to play.
Q: When and where will games be taking place?
A: Games and practices will primarily take place at Kingston Park, but other locations around the city will be used as well.
Q: What are the team sizes for my child’s team?
U4/5 -U6 will play 3v3 or 4v4 depending on team size.
U7/U8 will play 4v4 plus a goalie
U9/U10 will play 5v5 plus a goalie(6 total players)
U11/ U12 will play 8v8
Q: Will this league develop my child to transition into CG United's Traveling Program?
A: Yes! Since this program is based off the US Youth Soccer standards players will be more prepared to join the travel division of the club. The developmental approach to this league will better suit players if they choose to make that jump.
Q: What is the price of this league?
A: The league will cost $80($65 + $15 CGAA fee) to participate each season. The cost will cover the cost of the uniform and all other activities surrounding the season. We also offer a multi player discount per family.
