Cottage Grove Soccer Training Programs

Cottage Grove United Soccer Club provides free, year-round, professional training for all of its players and teams. In addition to the free training that is included in players' registration fees, Cottage Grove United has partnered with Craig Mallace to provide extra opportunities for players during the summer and winter months.

Winter Team Training Program
During the off-season (November-April), every Cottage Grove Traveling Soccer Team is scheduled to train 1 x per week in the club's Winter Team Training program with either Craig Mallace (the club's Director of Player Development) or one of the club's Technical Trainers in a local gymnasium. Teams are scheduled 12 x per winter (minimum) and ALL players are expected to attend their team's training sessions (unless they have winter sports actvities and/or school conflicts).

During Winter Team Training, players learn and improve their technical skills while participating in small-sided games that are focused on fun and learning. Coaches of their respective teams are encouraged to be present as a part of the Coaching Education Program that is provided to support all Cottage Grove United Traveling Coaches.

NO WINTER TRAINING FROM DEC 18 - JAN 8.  ONLY REC CAMP AND WINTER CAMP WILL BE ON DURING THOSE DATES!

Spring/Summer Team Training Program
Starting in mid-April, our teams begin to train outdoors at Kingston Park and West Draw Fields (U9-10). At this time, teams will have their own calendars and will train with their own teams, coaches, and players. The Spring Team Training Program is set up for teams (and their respective coaches) to train with Craig Mallace and other Technical Trainers 1 x per week from mid-April thru July.

Cottage Grove Traveling Plus – SPRING 2011…ARE YOU READY?
Many of our players ask themselves, “How do I prepare myself for the spring 2011-12 season?”

Attend the Winter Training Programs, Talk to the rest of the Team and think about Futsal leagues, they are a great way to keep up with your soccer training.
